Five of us set off to see the bluebells in a lovely dell in Gomms Wood. Sadly, the bluebells were more or less gone, but we did see a lovely field of buttercups and the wood was nice - and welcome back to Sally.

12 of us and two dogs enjoyed a leisurely walk, river and countryside, in glorious sunshine . We encountered a couple walking their dog and the guy had his bird of prey on his gloved hand. I've never seen a bird being taken for a walk before! We had our banana break at Little Marlow churchyard and garden. Tea, coffee and homemade brownies were on offer for weary walkers! Or those who just wanted to sit and chat in the sunshine.

Seven of us had a lovely day for walking - blue sky and sunshine and windy. We were fortunate enough to see bluebells still in bloom as well as wild garlic flowering and giving off a strong scent. A seven mile hilly walk that provided super views of the open countryside including the Stonor and Turville Valleys. Good friendly chats in wonderful countryside - a very happy and rewarding time for us all.

Sixteen walkers set off from Bradenham Common to walk, via Naphill Common, to West Wycombe, along one side of the valley and returning along the other, via Nobles Farm. Our route took us along a path beside and behind Bradenham Manor uphill to reach Naphill Common, picking up the main path towards Downley Common. Before turning right towards Cookshall Farm, we stopped beside Daisy Pond, one of seven ponds on the Common. These ponds were used in the past for livestock when the common was open heathland. It is unclear how many of the ponds were natural or man-made by puddling mud over stone/rubble bases. Daisy pond is the most diverse pond for plants and aquatic species on the common. We descended to West Wycombe village, stopping for our break beside some bluebells and then skirted the base of the hill to ascend to West Wycombe Church via a less steep path. Then it was an easy walk along the track to Nobles Farm where we descended, crossing the Bradenham Road, and into the village.

12 of us, plus Fern the lovely Springer Spaniel, enjoyed the Spring sunshine with a 5 mile walk from Pinkneys Green, via Littlewick Green & Maidenhead Thicket, to culminate on the magnificent cowslip meadow, adjacent to the car park.

There were 18 of us this morning, including "VIPs" Kate Ashbrook (a Vice-President of The Ramblers), Colin Kennedy (a past Chairman of our group, serving 15 years) and of course John Esslemont. We left Lane End village car park and walked the back streets and alleyways. A really muddy section was encountered before we reached the road and the bridge over the M40. We endured a few minutes of traffic noise before walking through fields on the north side, then down the slope to the gate at the edge of a wood, arriving 10h45. We stopped to celebrate and Kate Ashbrook gave us a very good and complimentary short talk about John and why he deserved a 2nd gate! We continued the walk in mild weather - light grey skies and a very gentle wind. Down the valley then up again, with a rest at the top. Before entering Upper Dorrels wood we had our banana break and admired the view, with West Wycombe's golden ball in the distance. On through the woods to Bullocks Farm, down a track then up to pass by Denham Farm, through Wheeler End Common, Wheeler End, over the M40 again and back to our cars. An enjoyable walk at a leisurely pace.

Our group of 8 set off from the free NT car park on Pinkneys Drive on a rather dull day, with a light but chilly breeze. We walked northwards, passing a lovely long row of blackthorn blossom on the western edge of Pinkneys Green. Over the road, then through woods with bluebell leaves aplenty (and the odd flower appearing). We entered the Bisham woods and followed the bridleway/cycle trail before heading up to the edge of the woods for our banana break. Again, a few bluebells, primroses and lesser celandine. Down through fields to walk across Cookham Dean Common. More wooded areas, then through Hindhay Farm, then fields, to the road. Crossing that, we walked across different sections of Pinkney Green, where cowslips were already popping up in some areas, back to the car park. A very pleasant walk in good company.

8 of us plus one dog set off on a chilly but sunny morning from Cadmore End. Our route took us across the valley towards Ibstone where when climbing the hill, we came across a large herd of deer just minding their own business. As we passed they all stood up but didn't bolt into the yonder. Upon reaching Ibstone, we headed for Turville, Fingest and then back to Cadmore End - taking the low route round the hill in both cases. An enjoyable walk in lovely weather.
